Mayank holds a PhD from IIT Roorkee. His thesis is titled 'Effect of URM infills on seismic performance of RC frame and frame-shear wall buildings'. 

Mayank did his masters in Structural and Earthquake Engineering at UCLA. The coursework included courses on advanced steel and reinforced concrete design, soil dynamics, structural reliability, non-linear structural analysis. In addition, to coursework he also worked as graduate researcher for Prof. Henry Burton.

Mayank did his bachelors from Delhi College of Engineering.

Mayank is currently a director at Optimum Design. He oversees the design, execution and delivery of numerous large-scale projects.

Mayank worked as a project engineer at Optimum Design. He lead projects from the concept stage to delivery.

Mayank worked as graduate researcher in BRG (Prof. Burton’s Research Group). His work focused on quantifying the aftershock collapse vulnerability of reinforced concrete infilled frames located in Noida. The publications resulting from this work can be found in ‘Research’ section.

Mayank worked as a design engineer wherein he prepared software models for various structure and designed them under the supervision of a project engineer.

Mayank was recruited from DCE by Michelin. At Michelin, during a span of three years, he worked as process engineer at multiple manufacturing plant locations such as Pictou Nova Scotia Canada, Olsztyn Poland, Siracha Thailand and Chennai India.
